Publisher Description
My Anxiety Coach is a private and personal app that helps to identify events and situations in life that cause anxiety, and other heightened emotions such as anger, frustration, sadness, etc. With your anxiety coach with you at all times, you are able to record situations that cause your emotional distress, and record the thoughts and feelings behind those emotions. My Anxiety Coach allows you to peel back your emotional onion to reveal your true cause of your anxious feelings. By recording everyday anxieties as they happen, over a period of time, you can identify the triggers that cause your anxieties, stress, and depression.
My Anxiety Coach can be used in conjunction with a Cognitive Behavior Therapy program. Cognitive Behavior Therapy (or CBT) is a process that helps in identifying automatic negative thoughts, and replacing those thoughts with more useful, more realistic thoughts, to eventually lessen anxieties.
Stepping through the process provided by My Anxiety Coach allows you to see your anxieties from a third person point of view. Using My Anxiety Coach, you can identify your emotions and their deep rooted triggers. These triggers cause your reactions which may be so automatic that you don't even know why you react the way you do. By stepping through My Anxiety Coach's process, you will be able to break down your feelings and reveal the true cause of your emotional triggers.
Identifying the triggers to your anxieties gets you closer to understanding how to change your thought patterns. Perhaps your emotional responses are so automatic that you truly don't know why you feel or react the way you do. You may blame others for your feelings and reactions, when deep down the true cause is an automatic response based on a deep seated fear. My Anxiety Coach tries to get you to step through emotional reactions, to help you identify your automatic triggers, to isolate your deep seated fears, and come up with a healthier way to respond.
